Behind the "Speicher am Ziegelsee" lies a historic, listed grain warehouse from 1939, which we extensively converted into a unique first-class hotel in 1998. The hotel is one of Schwerin's top addresses and at the same time an insider tip for many who value a tasteful ambience, individuality, sustainability and, above all, courteous service. Our family business is located very quietly directly on the shore of Lake Ziegel and is only a 15-minute walk from the old town.

77 rooms, double rooms partly with single beds or beds with extra length, rooms suitable for allergy sufferers and partly for the disabled. 10 rooms with connecting doors to the neighbouring room. If you wish you can get allergy bed linen and you have a choice of special pillows and neck rolls.

The restaurant "aurum" with sea terrace has earned its reputation as one of the best addresses in Schwerin under the management of our chef Marcus Podszus. Enjoy the fine Mecklenburg cuisine with regional and seasonal specialities. The cuisine is certified organic, fresh and regional. Many homemade dishes and cake offers. The hotel has a 55 sqm fitness cellar with daylight and modern endurance and strength equipment at your disposal. After training you can relax in the spacious sauna area with classic Finnish sauna (90°C) and sanarium (75°C) or in the sauna garden with access to the lake.
